Sentinels won the PAX Arena Invitational after a 3-1 victory over local North American rivals, Cloud9, losing just two maps en route to the trophy. With this victory, Sentinels secured $10,000 in prize money and the title of the best North American VALORANT team.
The Sentinels team has put together one of the most popular VALORANT rosters in North America. The team comprises a mix of former CS:GO athletes and Overwatch League 2019 MVP, Jay “sinatraa” Won.

Sentinels Pull Off Impressive 3-1 Victory Over Cloud9
The best-of-five grand finals started with a win for Sentinels. The entire roster stepped up to the occasion. While Sinatraa topped the statistics, every Sentinels player had a decent showing and contributed to the team’s performance.
Cloud9 bounced back on Haven, which is one of their trademark maps. The team’s coordination combined with some amazing individual performances by the former Counter-Strike professional, Tyson “TenZ” Ngo.

The third map on Bind was extremely competitive, with the first half ending on a 6-7 score. However, Sentinels had a better defense in the second half and won the map with a 13-11 scoreline, similar to Map 1. With an Average Combat Score (ACS) of 265, S1ck was the best player on the server and his performance continuously improved as the match progressed.
S1ck continued his top form into the final map, where the Cloud9 roster seemed to have run out of steam. The player had an impressive 312 ACS on Split and ended the match with a clutch 1v3 performance.
The PAX Arena Invitational was the second North American Ignition Series. VALORANT fans expected teams like TSM or T1 to have a better performance in this tournament. However, the Sentinels squad has already proven itself to be a significant competitor in VALORANT and has the potential to become the best team in the world.
